Objective: 

This course will enable the students to -

  1. Familiarize with software MATHEMATICA for numerical computation of the fundamental arithmetic operations.
  2. Compute the fundamental concepts of higher mathematics
  3. Enhance Problem-Solving skills through programming in different mathematical software.
  4. Produce and interpret graphs in various co-ordinate systems.

CONTENTS

Students are required to familiarize themselves with mathematical software MATHEMATICA for numerical computation on the following topics:

  1. Solution of the Algebraic equations.
  2. Plotting the solutions of Algebraic equations.
  3. Solution of the system of linear equations.
  4. Use of basic set operations.
  5. Eigen values and Eigen vectors.
  6. A permutation group defined by two generators.
  7. Test the equality of permutation groups.
  8. The identity permutation and representation with disjoint cycles.
  9. Vectors and Matrix formation.
  10.  Basic operations in vectors and matrices.
