Objective: 

This course will enable the students to -

  1. Familiarize with software MATHEMATICA for numerical computation of the fundamental arithmetic operations.
  2. Compute the fundamental concepts of Higher mathematics
  3. Enhance Problem-Solving skills through programming in different mathematical software.
  4. Produce and interpret graphs in various co-ordinate systems.

CONTENTS
 
  1. Students are required to familiarize themselves with software MATHEMATICA, for numerical computation on the following topics:

  2. Find real and imaginary parts of complex numbers.

  3. Calculate absolute value and argument, conjugates of complex numbers.

  4. Harmonic function, Laplace equations. 

  5. Check analyticity of complex functions, multivariate functions.

  6. Calculate function f(z) when one of the harmonic conjugate is provided.

  7. Check whether a function is meromorphic or not?

  8. Find poles of given functions.

  9. Calculate residues and Find sum of residues of given functions.

  10. Calculate complex line integral by Ist principle of summation.

  11. Plot a complex-valued function over the complex numbers.
