Objective: 

This course will enable the students to –

  1. Familiarize with creating well formatted documents using various features of word processor tool and Design spreadsheets, apply basic functions to analyze data.
  2. Apply the knowledge to Create tables, forms, queries and reports using MS-Access and the concepts of storing and accessing files and folders on the cloud and demonstrate the ability to work on google drive.

Introduction to word processing: Working with formatted documents, Shortcut keys. Finding & replacing text, Go To command. selecting text, changing cases, Paragraph and page formatting, Header & footer, proofing text, Inserting pictures, Mail merging.

Spreadsheets: Creating a Table, formatting of table, auto fill series, Basic Functions (SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, MIN), Sorting and filtering, Cell referencing, Importing external data, basic charts (bar, column charts)

Data management using MS-ACCESS (creating tables, forms, queries and reports), importing and exporting data.

Presentation Software: using templates and wizards, creating presentation using blank presentation, Adding objects and action buttons. Various presentation views, Working in slide sorter view, adding transition and animations to slide show, Printing slides, adding master-slide.

Cloud based Office Tools(Google drive, Google docs, Google sheets, Google slides. Sharing and creating files, uploading and downloading files and folders. Creating and designing forms using Google forms. Introduction to office365 and its applications)
