Objective: 

Students are required to familiarize themselves with software MATLAB, for numerical computation on the following topics:

 

  • Introduction of M-Files in MATLAB.
  • M-File scripts and M-File functions.
  • Creating and running scripts file.
  • Editing and existing M-File.
  • Programme for addition/Subtraction of numbers.
  • Programme for multiplication of numbers.
  • Programme for addition of squares of (even/odd) numbers.
  • Programme fornumerical integration using Trapezoidal rule.
  • Programme fornumerical integration using Simpson's 1/3 rule.
  • Programme fornumerical integration using Simpson's 3/8 rule.
  • Programme fornumerical solution of ordinary differential equation using Euler's method.
  • Programme fornumerical solution of ordinary differential equation using Euler's Modified method.
  • Programme fornumerical solution of ordinary differential equation using 2ndorder Runge-Kutta method.
  • Programme for numerical solution of ordinary differential equation using 3rd order Runge-Kutta method.
  • Programme for numerical solution of ordinary differential equation using 4th order Runge-Kutta method.
