Objective of the Event: Students need to be made aware of the social environment of their university/college and to give them an overview about the academic course of PG Mathematics. By giving a rough idea of academic expectations, students are prepared for the challenges they might face during their post-graduation programme. Also giving the opportunity to the faculties and senior students to get connected with the new batch.

Description:

An Orientation programme was organized by the Discipline of Mathematics for all the Post Graduate students on November 19, 2021. The programme started with final year students sharing their summer internship experience with the first year post graduate students. They gave presentations which threw light on course. This interactive session was appreciated by the students of both years. Copies of syllabus of various PG courses were given to the students. Detailed information about the discipline, its location, syllabus and paper details including with the information of E-library, labs and M.S teams and dissertation was given by Dr. Surendra kumar Agarwal, Head, Discipline of Mathematics. This programme attended by 5 students. A feedback form, pertaining Departmental & University Orientation Programmes, was distributed to all the students present. The session ended after collecting the duly filled-in forms from the students. Students enjoyed the activities planned by the department and gained an insight about the course and department from the departmental presentation.

Outcome of the event: New students came to know about the department and faculties of the department. They have a fruitful positive interaction with their seniors.
