Guest Lecture on Complex Analysis and Its Applications

The guest speaker was Dr S. S. Bhoosnurmath, Professor of Mathematics, Karnataka University, Dharwad, India. His research areas are Nevalinna Theory and Complex Dynamics.

He has published around 50 research papers in various reputed international journals with high impact factors. He has got Pampa award in 1990. It is literary award in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is one of the highest literary honors conferred by the department of Kannads and culture, Government of Karnataka state.

The welcome note was given by Mr. Navneet Mittal, Asst Professor of Mathematics, IIS University, Jaipur. The seminar was attended by the faculty members, graduate and post graduate Students from various department of IIS University.

Dr. Bhoosnurmath delivered a very interesting lecture on the topic “Complex Analysis and Its Applications".  He gave a brief talk on the basics of Applied and Pure Mathematics. Furthermore, he spoke on the applications of Geometry and Calculus in Astronomy. He kindly answered many questions of the participants pertaining to the issues of applications and future research directions of Complex Analysis.

Finally, Mr. Navneet Mittal thanked Dr. Bhoosnurmath for delivering an enlightening and informative talk to the students and faculty members of IIS University, Jaipur.
