Guest speaker: Dr. Amit Chakraborty Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Central University of Rajasthan, Ajmer, Rajasthan, India.
He has published around 22 research papers in various reputed international journals with high impact factors. He has got Postdoctoral research fellow from University of California Riverside, USA and University of Muenster, Germany.
The welcome note was given by Mr. Navneet Mittal, Asst Professor of Mathematics, IIS University, Jaipur. The seminar was attended by the faculty members and 40 students of post graduate from the department of mathematics.
Dr. Amit Chakraborty delivered a very interesting lecture on the topic “Topology". He gave a brief talk on the basics of Applied and Pure Mathematics. Furthermore, he spoke on the applications of Geometry. He explains how topology is used in computer application and other Engineering applications. He kindly answered many questions of the participants pertaining to the issues of applications and future research directions of Analysis and Toplogy. Students are highly benefited by the lecture as Topology is part of their curriculum and having vast scope in future.
Finally, Mr. Navneet Mittal thanked Dr. Amit Chakraborty for delivering an enlightening and informative talk to the students and faculty members of IIS University, Jaipur.
