Objective: 

This course will enable the students to –

  1. Familiarize with software MATLAB, for numerical computation of the fundamental arithmetic

Students are required to familiarize themselves with software MATLAB, for numerical computation on the following topics:
 
  1. Introduction and syntax to find the distance between two vectors in Matlab.
  2. Types of spaces like null space, product spaces and their examples.
  3. To generate the set of polynomials as an example in vector space.
  4. Examples of linear space and coordinates of vectors with Examples.
  5. Determining linear independence of a set of vectors.
  6. Rank of a matrix, Rank with tolerance.
  7. Application to independent chemical reactions, choosing independent reactions.
  8. Basis of a vector space.
  9. Coordinates of vectors.
  10. Operations on vector spaces.
